Wray Common Primary School

A primary school for boys and girls aged 4 to 11

Clubs

We have endeavoured to ensure that there is a club running every evening after school which should mean that more children have the opportunity to attend at least one club – there is something for everyone!

We have several clubs that are being run by outside agencies and children are able to sign up to as many of these as they wish, details of which come from our outside agencies.

The clubs that are run by Wray Common Staff are limited to 2 per child. This is to ensure that as many children as possible get the opportunity to attend one of our clubs. There is a charge of £1.50 per child per session (payable for the term in advance) for these clubs i.e. £15.00 for 10 sessions. This is to cover resourcing and to encourage children to attend regularly. Outdoor clubs such as Tennis and Athletics will run in ALL weathers (unless we feel it is dangerous to do so) so children need to have the right equipment for this.

Clubs are allocated on a first-come-first -served basis upon completion of an interest form. You will then receive a letter (via email) telling you which clubs your child is in and requesting payment prior to commencement of the club.

Please note that for parents/carers who claim for (or who are eligible to claim for) free school meals, the school is able to utilise government funding to subsidise the cost of the external clubs. The funding also allows the school to offer Wray Common led clubs for free.
