About Us
The Friends of Wray Common is a registered charity (270506) and acts as a Parent Teacher Association for the school.
Originally set up over 30 years ago it has raised funds to purchase many resources that enhance the learning of the children during their time at the school. Over the years these have included funds for the swimming pool, playground equipment, gazebos and lots and lots and lots of books.
We have a very active committee who organise our social and fundraising events during the year, and who will enlist the help of parents to co-ordinate, set-up and run events. It’s a great way to be involved with your child’s school and to meet other parents. Whilst we aim to raise money to help the school we feel it is also important to try and promote a community spirit and build networks of parents using our Class reps.
We hold committee meetings once per half term and anyone is welcome. You won’t be signed up to take on any activities unless you want to help. It would be great to see some new faces even if your contribution is limited to ideas and opinions.
